Cloudsim output

Hi
I'm new to cloudsim and would like to know the output of cloudsim and
if there is a file that is created for the output. If I run
example1.java in Netbeans I get the following;

Is this the output from the simulation? Is there a file created for
this output.

No file will be created for the examples.

Thanks very much. Does it mean you use the output from Netbeans to
analyze your simulation? Do you have to modify the class files (import
files)to have your own simulation and output.

yea you have modify some of the class definition. that depends upon the simulation you choosed.

Hi Francis,

if you look for a class called Helper.java, which is in org/cloudbus/examples/power, you will find this method which will output the results of the simulation into a CSV file for you.

public static void printResults

You could try and adapt that into your simulation some how.  I am using it in another class which is called from my simulation.


But if you're looking for an easier solution with better output then I would use Cloud Reports instead of CloudSim.  It is a GUI based cloud simulation tool which is built on top of CloudSim.

Hi Maya,

I'm not sure how you could do that exactly.  Never attempted it myself.  Have you seen how many classes are involved in CloudReports?  This might be a difficult task to integrate it into the original CloudSim.  But there is something that I have noticed when I was using CloudReports several months ago.  It seems to use CloudSim as a library and CloudSim is just a single jar file.  You might be able to compress the original CloudSim-3.0.2 into a jar file and import it into CloudReports as a library.  Or you could copy all of the CloudSim classes into the CloudReports folder and see if that works.  But like I said, I have not attempted this before and so I don't know if any of these methods will work.

i have created a project in net beans , i imported cloudsim.jar file in it. . i also imported cloudreports . jar in tat. .  now i wanted to integrate cloud sim example 1 wit cloud reports.  do yo know how to proceed it. .
