cloudprober runs as root

I'm using clodprober to probe specified devices in production environment. I understand clodprober process runs as root -privileged user by default as writes its config to process internal memory at run time? Is there a way to run cloudprober process as non root user?
Just a query for understanding.

Hello,

No, you don't need to run cloudprober as root. We don't run it as root.

Thank much for clarification. My question was whether cloudprober process can run as non-root as by default it as root. I wanted to run it as non root by using securityContext for user and group. You clarified my question

That's what I am trying to clarify, for others as well who might see this message on the mailing list. Cloudprober doesn't run as root by itself. It will run as whatever user you run it as.
