Hi CloudLab Staff,

I am a Computer Science student currently working on a research project that requires Intel SGX Hardware Mode.

I have allocated several c6620 nodes, but I am encountering the "Zero EPC sections" issue (SGX is disabled in BIOS). Since I am using these nodes via a remote SSH connection, I cannot manually access the BIOS to enable it.

Could you please help enable the SGX feature (and allocate PRMRR/EPC memory) for my currently active nodes?

here is my Experiment details:

Name:Junjie-0-299578
State:
ready

Profile:
small-lan

Creator:
Junjie_0
Project:
DPMFS

Thank you very much for your time and assistance!

Since my previous experiment has expired, I have started a new one. Here is the updated experiment URL:    https://www.cloudlab.us/status.php?uuid=f2dd400d-6a63-4509-a0db-022b33cb64e1
You may reboot the experiment machines at any time .

Hi, sorry we didn't catch this over the weekend.

We do not expose BIOS access to users, so asking us like you are doing here is the way to get BIOS changes applied.  I'll get those changes applied once your experiment starts this evening.  What enclave size were you looking for here?

Best,
 - Aleks

Thanks for your response. I need the enclave size to be 128MB.

PS: Just resending this here since I'm not sure if my private message reached you.

The minimum size I can set it to is 256MB, and the default is 2G.  Options go from 256MB to 64G, and are each 2x up from the one before (256MB -> 512MB -> 1G -> 2G -> etc...).  Should I set it to the minimum size or the default size?

For now, I've set it to 256MB.  Your node should be back up now with SGX enabled in the BIOS.  Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you for your help. The current settings meet my requirements perfectly, as I can further adjust the size at the software level if needed.
