Hello,

User: HHBerger
Project: KRIOS

I was able to access CloudLab on 2/1 from my home network for most of the day. I was able ssh into the nodes in an experiment I launched. Suddenly, starting the afternoon of 2/1, I was not able to access the CloudLab site nor ssh into my nodes from my home network. I tried accessing CloudLab from a different network and a VPN and both worked (though I could not ssh into nodes with a VPN active), so it seems that CloudLab (or something in the middle) started to reject my home network. Accessing CloudLab from my home network is my main environment so this is blocking development for now. Before losing access, there were certainly plenty of failed ssh connections as I was messing around with ssh keys and connection sources, is it possible those failures blocked my network as a source?

After some digging, it seems this old Cloudlab conversation notes a similar issue: https://groups.google.com/g/cloudlab-users/c/9XNJqwJaf4U

Is this something the team has seen before? Happy to provide any further information to help.

Thank you,
Henry Berger

Thank you Mike. That did work, but only briefly. I was able to access CloudLab again, launch an experiment, and ssh into the nodes. However, after running a basic ansible playbook against the 4 nodes a couple of times, I seem to have been blocked again. I cannot ssh into nor ping the nodes, and the CloudLab website is inaccessible from my home network again; though I can access it from a cellular network.

Is there a more permanent solution to whitelisting my ip? Since it seems like it probably got blocked again in the same manner as before.

I sent you off-list email with some questions about your access pattern.
Please answer that so we can figure out exactly what is going on.
