Hi,

I wanted to address an issue regarding my experiment (SANDI/csyuxuan-265888), which has been quarantined, and my account, which is currently frozen. (https://www.cloudlab.us/status.php?uuid=991caafa-7929-11f0-bc80-e4434b2381fc)

The problem arose when I mistakenly used rsync to download a large experiment folder from the remote server to my local machine via the control network. After restarting node-0, I experienced that the node became inaccessible due to failed authorization. In my haste to back up my experiment logs, I acted without thorough consideration, and I sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused.

I wonder when I can expect my account to be reinstated? Will I be able to continue my experiments afterward?

I’ve learned from this incident and will ensure large file transfers are handled properly in the future, avoiding the use of the control network for such tasks.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I appreciate any guidance on resolving this matter.

Best regards,
Yuxuan

Hi. Just a reminder that Cloudlab is a free research service,
and generally we do not work on weekends (US Mountain timezone).
So you want to be careful not to get your account locked out
on a weekend. :-)

Thanks
Leigh
