Hello,

I was meaning to change permissions of some repos in the home directory, but I accidentally did
`chmod 777 -R .`
thus changing the .ssh directory's permissions too (from 700 to 777). At least this is the reason I believe I'm seeing the issue below.

Currently I'm getting `aka...@ms1120.utah.cloudlab.us: Permission denied (publickey).`
when I attempt to ssh into client-0-0 in my experiment. All other nodes are fine to ssh into.

I was hoping someone might be able to assist me? I have data on there that I'd like to retrieve, so I don't just want to call reload. reboot also didn't seem to work. I'm unsure if there's another way to access the machine besides ssh? I also don't see how I can modify the permissions of .ssh without accessing the machine... Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Anja

Hi. I fixed up your .ssh dir perms. However, you had also installed a
package that dragged in NetworkManager, and I think this was most likely
responsible for the node becoming unreachable (see for instance
https://groups.google.com/g/cloudlab-users/c/B6rNj7Vhltk/m/rwkHf_kwAgAJ).
I disabled NetworkManager on this node and rebooted it; should be fine
now, assuming I got the .ssh perms right.
