d760-hbm node in the shutdown state

Hello, CloudLab team!

I want to use a d760-hbm node for my experiment. There are two such nodes in the Utah cluster: flex11 and flex12. flex12 is in the SHUTDOWN state, and I can't use it for my experiment.

Is something wrong with flex12?

Hi Maksym,

Yes, flex12 is having problems, it's been repeatedly showing memory initialization errors.  I will see if I can resurrect it on my own, but barring that, I will need to call it into Dell (which will take longer).  Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll try to have it back in the pool soon.

The resource availability page shows that d760-hbm nodes are unavailable now, and they will not become available in the future. Is something wrong with them?

Hi Maksym,

Yes, both d760-hbm nodes broke in the same manner and are both out of service.  I have recently fixed flex12, which required a full motherboard swap, and I can free it up soon so that you and others can start using it again.  Unfortunately, flex11 will also need a motherboard replacement, but I will free that up too as soon as I have done that.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Maksym,

While I'm still working on flex11, flex12 should at least be back in the pool now.  Let us know if you have any problems with it.
