On Wednesday, June 17, we will be adding a firewall to the control network at the CloudLab Utah site starting at 8 AM MDT / 1400 UTC.

Utah nodes will lose access to the control network and the Internet for up to 2 hours. They will not be rebooted.

Nodes at other sites will not be affected.

After the downtime, the firewall will have the following effects for *incoming* traffic from the Internet:

* The only low ports (<1024) allowed will be ssh (22), http (80), and https (443)
* High ports will be allowed except for a few commonly associated with NFS and vulnerable Windows services

All outgoing traffic will still be allowed, and the firewall will not affect the experiment network at all.

A reminder that this downtime for the Utah cluster is one week from today. Expect all Cloudlab Utah resources to be inaccessible from 8AM MDT for two hours.
