Hi CloudLab team,
I’m using {host-node} in a profile’s Instructions to generate service URLs, following this discussion:
https://groups.google.com/g/cloudlab-users/c/Y57wAFDREyE/m/bDUFNwNZEQAJ
The profile requests a public address for its Xen VM with node.routable_control_ip = True
The services in the experiment work when accessed through the VM’s static hostname (
pcvm855-1.emulab.net
).
However, {host-node} expands to
node.jup-op-rip-832.nyunetworks.emulab.net
which returns NXDOMAIN.
Is {host-node} expected to resolve for a routable Xen VM on Emulab?
Current experiment:
https://www.cloudlab.us/status.php?uuid=441e0424-11f3-435c-96ee-63fca74f5a9c
(but it might be expired by the time someone looks at it).
Thank you.
