Look at the log files on the switch and there should be messages about
when and hopefully why the port was disabled. It could be that you have
created a loop in the node/switch topology and spanning tree blocked the
port. Or it could be that speed, flow control, or FEC is mismatched between
the switch and the node. If you have a node/switch link that is working,
compare the settings on the two and see if there is a difference.

I tried rebooting the switch and the node. Now the port is up but the node is still not rechable. I am not able to ping node 3.
