Hi,
We are using nodes in the AMD EPYC machine in the Utah cluster. We wanted to turn off frequency scaling for a node at the BIOS level before we ran our experiments on it, but we couldn't find a good way to do it. Could you clarify whether:
-
Frequency scaling can be disabled directly through the BIOS on these nodes, or
-
If not, whether there is a recommended mechanism (e.g., through kernel parameters, cpupower, or other utilities) that ensures the cores run at a fixed frequency for the duration of the experiment?
Any guidance is appreciated!
Best,
Kunal.
