Hello admin,

I am having a network issue on node c220g5-111032.

The LAN interface ens1f1 has IP 10.10.1.16/24, but it is down. I ran ip link set ens1f1 up, but ethtool ens1f1 still shows Link detected: no.

The control network interface is working, but the private LAN interface is not. Could you please check the link connection for ens1f1 on this node?

Thank you for the help!

Here is my experiment web page:

Hello, I wanted to follow up on this issue because I still cannot use the private LAN on node c220g5-111032.

I tried rebooting the node, but the problem remains: ens1f1 is still down with 10.10.1.16/24.

Thank you

Hello,
I just got an email about the reservation for this experiment stating:
Your reservation in project DIRR is currently either
underused or unused. Tying up resources in this manner
means other users may not be able to get their work done.
Your reservation is now scheduled to be canceled at 2026-05-05T17:36:24Z.
Please contact the support staff if you would like to keep
your reservation.

    Start: 04/30/26 09:00:00 -0600
    End: 05/05/26 16:00:00 -0600
    Cluster Resources:
        Wisc: c220g5:20,sm110p:5

However, on my reservation page it says 100% used, I'm currently using all the nodes except the c220g5-111032 in fact.

The issue with the c220g5-111032 node still persists as of now.

Thank you.

Hi, apologies for the delay in response!

After your first message we asked our contact in Wisconsin to take a look at it in person, but he was out until this week.  We've since followed up with him again and we hope to have somebody over there to look at it as soon as possible.  We were rather occupied yesterday with the CloudLab Utah network problems, or we would have asked him yesterday.  Sorry for the inconvenience here.

As far as your reservation goes, the 100% used just means you have allocated all of the nodes in your reservation.  The message you received was about utilization of your nodes, which was caused by our idle detection system looking at the server load over the weekend.  Your reservation was cancelled, yes, but in this case that doesn't actually matter.  Your reservation was going to end today at 4 PM anyways, and your experiment expires in two days, so there is no imminent risk to your experiment.

We'll let you know once someone is able to look at that wire in person.

Best,
 - Aleks

Our contact took a look and the wire was indeed popped out of the interface slightly.  After he reseated it, the link came back up.  Sorry again that it took so long to get this fixed for you, but you should be good to go now.  Let us know if anything else comes up.

Best,
 - Aleks
