Hello,

I’m running into an issue when trying to start an experiment. The error message says:

“1 nodes of type d750 requested, but you are only allowed to use 0.”

Is there a way to request access or increase the quota for this node type, or should I switch to a different node type instead?

Thank you,
Vishal

From the Cloudlab manual hardware section:

NOTE: due to the small number of these nodes and their
specialized hardware, they are not available for general
use. CloudLab staff will grant access to your project on
request. Be sure to include the type, your project, and
your reason for needing the specific type in your request.

The "d750", "d7615", "d760", and "d760-hbm" are what we call the "flexible"
nodes, which have the physical capacity to hold accelerator cards (e.g., DPUs)
in the future and/or have processors with specialized features (e.g., HBM).
So we keep them out of the general allocation pool so they are available to
users who need those features.

Are there specific features of these nodes that you need for your
experimentation? If so, I can enable access for your project.
