Octopress blog? I've built one - non-trivial but quite Ruby-geekish.
You'll need either rvm or rbenv and the ability to write Markdown.
I've got a bash script or two wrapping the heavier typing. I don't
know if it will work on a Mac. I never got it to work on Windows with
either MSYS/Git or Cygwin. Void where prohibited by law.
