Hi All,
Please find attached an initial architecture diagram to the UCI vision,  Pat inspired me with when he was talking about the project in the public chat we had today.
Hope it is a good start.

Mohamed

Sure thing.

I added some text about the architecture and posted it into my blog:
http://virtuage.blogspot.com/

Pat,
Could you please have a look as well, in case it is useful we can add it to the project page?

Regards,
Mohamed

Gary, thanks.
(I would appreciate it if people would stick to open standard formats
for discussion. No de-jure standards)

What does the Query Engine do?
I understand how/why one might use XMPP here as a bus for communication
among various agents. I don't understand the purple arrow to "Jabber
Server" --- is it that the UCI agent is responsible for providing that?
(Best to use a consistent naming, and call it an XMPP server)

Hi Michael,

You are right about the naming of the XMPP server. I've changed it, Thanks
The query engine here, refers to the tool/component that UCI use to commands the agent to query about the state of the running and provisioned virtual machines and infrastructure.

Mohamed
