The 16th FAI European Paragliding Championship has started in Nis, Serbia. The event is organized by the Aeronautical Union of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of sport and Municipality of Nis. The competition will be held from July 25 till August 06, 2022. 132 pilots from 30 Nations came to compete in Serbia - of which 23 are nations counting for the European ranking and 7 guest nations. The participants were greeted by Labud Bulativic, the president of Serbian NAC, and other officials. The FAI Jury president Andrew Cowley has declared the competition open. Learn more. |

The 21st FAI World Hang gliding Class 2 has started in Aspres sur Buech in France. The event will be held from July 25th till August 06, 2022. It is organized by Adpul the organization dedicated to the development of Class 2 gliders sport with the support of FFVL - the national Aeroclub of France. Lousie Joselyn reports from the event: All registered pilots are now here, so we have a field of 12 from 5 nations. 9 pilots are flying SwiftLight gliders, 5 of which are flying with electric motors, 3 are flying the Archeopteryx, all of which have electric motors.
