I installed CloudBuddy hoping that it would help in viewing my backups
on Amazon S3 via JungleDisk. Unfortunately, all I saw were encrypted
details, so I tried to uninstall in:
1. Ran uninstall from Start Menu - appeared to work. Rebooted.
2. CloudBuddy still listed in Add/remove programs. Attempt to
uninstall actually said it was already uninstalled and offered to
remove it from program list, which I acepted. Rebooted again.
3. CloudBuddy STILL shows menu items and toolbars in Outlook, Word &
Excel (other Office progs not yet checked).
Launching those progs gives a message such as: "Application
configuration has some issues, please contact CloudBuddy Support or re-
install the product".

How do I remove the Add-ins from these programs, please?

I meant to add that I am running under XP Pro SP3 and Office 2003.
Thanks

Hello Trevor,

Thanks for using CloudBuddy Personal edition. I am not sure which
version of CloudBuddy created this issue. But we assure for better
uninstaller in our forth coming releases.

Thanks for your feedback.

you can follow the instructions provided here to remove CloudBuddy.

Thank you - in fact, that did not work completely.

I deleted the toolbar and the menu item from Outlook 2003, Word 2003 & Excel 2003, but each time I restarted them I got the dialog box "Application configuration has some issues, please contact CloudBuddy Support or re-install the product" After acknowledging the message, it was clear that add-ins were still being re-loaded each time.

I eventually found that I had had TWO copies of CloudBuddy on the system and only part of one of them had been uninstalled. *.db & *.log files remained in one copy and *.dll files also remained in the other copy and were obviously reloading every time.

(From memory, I believe the double-installation may have happened because I aborted an installation part way through when I realised it was not installing into my preferred (non-default) program file location.)

However, because I now no longer had the uninstall options left in the Start menu nor in Add/Remove Programs, I zipped the remaining directories and then manually deleted them.

A test re-installation now fails with the message "Cloudbuddy set up has been already installed. Please Uninstall previous version ...". Clearly there is still some residue of the program - in the Registry? (as I suspected from having to delete it manually). So how can I get rid of it please?

I am using v.1.4.1 Beta.

Thanks
Trevor

The following registry keys are causing the CloudBuddyOffice plugin to
load

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins
\CloudBuddyOffice.Connect
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins
\CloudBuddyOffice.Connect
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins
\CloudBuddyOffice.Connect
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins
\CloudBuddyOffice.Connect

This one preventing new installation of CloudBuddy.
