Hi all I am pleased to announce the TVHGC summer party and BBQ is on this
year on* Saturday 4th August 2012* so why not book a slot in your diaries
now. As previous years it will be at the foot of Rudlers Hill round the
corner from Rybury on the Milk Massif. I will be opening up the website
booking system from the 1st of July so you can pay online using
credit/debit cards.
 
It's time to enjoy your very-delicious-farm-friendly-beef burger hand
cooked on the night, salad and something sweet afterwards and a fair amount
of beer, wine and soft drinks, and of course flying if it's flyable on
Rudlers hill.
 
The line-up is a very, very, very relaxed atmosphere with camping,
partying, BBQ and plenty to drink with a marquee and dancing under the
beautiful back drop of the western end of the Milk Massif. There will be a
model helicopter display too (weather permitting).
 
The last 3 years' parties have been flyable all weekend so cross fingers
that this is fourth time lucky yet again.
Club members, aspiring members and non-members, flyers and non-flyers are
very welcome, families, friends and even well behaved dogs.
 
The venue is Rudlers West, which is Cloudbase Paragliding's private flying
site in the heart of the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire. This is by very kind
permission of Charlie who owns the farm.
 
When: Saturday 4th August and finishing Sunday
Where: Rudlers Hill along from Milk Hill. Grid ref +51° 22' 58.74", -1°
53' 58.66" and turn off the Horton to Alton Barnes road at Grid Ref +51°
22' 10.41", -1° 55' 20.70"
Price: £10 book www.tvhgc.co.uk from 1st July and deadline 31st July
when it will go up to £12.
Time: 7pm and food from 8pm
Other: You can pitch a tent from mid day Saturday. Pilots flying must
be BHPA members and minimum CP (Hill) and have a site brief from Cloudbase
Paragliding.
