All:
I have a situation where I need to move the meta directory from
under CLOUDBASE_HOME to another directory.
This is both security and space related. From a security side my
customer does not like programs/software writing into their install
directory. While the space used by this directory is small there are
concerns about the cloubdbase install partition filling up.

Is there a property that can be set in the configuration file to
tell cloudbase to look someplace else for the meta directory?

I am sorry but the cloudbase picks up these directories from the Constants file-
$CLOUDBASE_HOME/src/server/com/business/cloudbase/CBConstants.java

You just need to change the META_DIR constant (either hard code it to your desired value or read a configuration file and update this constant).

Let me know if you need any help with compiling etc.

Tarandeep:
Thanks.

Is there a standard mechanism to put in feature/change requests
like this?

I don't know if I will have the schedule/resources to implement this
change on this effort and may just need to solve it with a symlink
in the interim, but I would like to make sure the change gets
into the baseline.

You can put a feature request on sourceforge or if you do it yourself, you can send in the changes I will include them in the branch.

thanks,
