Using cloud vision for video detection

Hi,

We already have a flow built in our app using cloud vision. We now want to expand from images to videos and wondering if there are advantages in using the video specific API for this, or can we just divide different video frames into images and use the cloud vision API to analyze them. Anyone has any experience with both APIs and can share? Thanks!
