Style Detection using Vision API

Hi Team,

I saw an article for style detection - https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/ai-machine-learning/introducing-style-detection-for-google-cloud-vision-api

However this is from 2016 and says it would be released soon.

Has this feature been discontinued ? If not, how do I try this out

Hi Subham,

Thanks for reaching out. I am an engineer on the Cloud Vision AI team and I can provide a bit of clarity here. This blog post and the associated video is actually an April fools joke from 5 years ago — this product is not real. I myself was not aware of this blog post until I read your email, and I too found the content of the post very misleading and unhelpful. I am working with our blog editors to find a way to avoid this sort of confusion in the future.

You may be interested in our (real) Product Search API, although it is designed for visual matching, not style prediction.

I am very sorry for the confusion this has caused. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
