Vision API : Text Detection feature unable to detect Arabic texts?

Hi guys,

It seems the Vision API has issues with Arabic texts even though Arabic is one of the supported languages. The Arabic texts are not detected in my images, only latin texts present in the image were detected. My input images satisfy all the official recommendations so i dont know where the problem comes from. Does anyone have a clue about this ?

Hey,

The Vision API is able to detect multiple languages in a single image. Is the Arabic text unclear or has some noise compared to the Latin text? Sharing an image where the issue is observed would be helpful in better understanding the issue you are facing.

For the best quality in Arabic TEXT_DETECTION you would need to explicitly set language hint currently. We're working to remove this restriction but the language hint should do the trick in the mean time.
