How to use Vision API in a secure way

Hi users, 

I've noticed 293,801 API requests with 403 error in my project, and I suspect malicious attack from the outside. For this reason, I am looking for more secure way to use a service account to use Vision API. What kind of options are available? Can I manage it by setting whitelist IP?
