Hello!.
I was using its services in Google Cloud without problems. 10 days ago I received a notification warning that they were going to make a VM change.
Today (already warned) My site stopped working, and I prepared to make the modifications suggested by you from F1-Micro to E2-Micro.
Everything took place normally, but it caught my attention a detail: the "premium" option appeared at the network level. By clicking on "View Details" it derives me to two levels of network services offered by Google: a "premium" and another "standard".
There they offer a high performance premium service, and another standard of normal performance. Evidently this must have a price. Although I was reviewing the options to decant for the second option, there was no way to select it. I even went back in my steps to do the whole process again, but by default everything is set in the "Premium" option.
By putting the VM into operation again, a poster appears warning that the expenses of the instance would be charged (attached catches).
I ask. When changing the machine: there will be "extra" charges for being in a "premium" network without choice in exchange?. I honestly do not remember if this was like that before.
In the email that Google sent me only warn that the service will improve but everything will remain inside the Free Discount. Copy / Paste:
"Starting August 1, 2021, Change The Machine Type from F1-Micro, OR STOP Your Existing F1-Micro Instance and Begin Using A E2-Micro Instance. VMs created with either method will automatically have the Free Tier discount applied to them. The supported regions will remain the same." (the email is here below).
If I understood well: the free tier is maintained? Because if it is not like that, I am interested in the "Standard" network. I did not ask for the "premium".
Someone could clarify this ?. Because I imagine that it would affect thousands of people.
Thanks a lot! :-)
