Hello all,

I'm attempting to subscribe to a pubsub queue to receive messages, following the tutorial. I have a json file generated by the queue owner being used for credentials. The queue is being called from outside the Google environment, using a service account.

I've added the json file to the environment for the session I'm currently debugging with the recommended key.

I have downloaded various libraries (Google.Cloud.PubSub.V1, Grpc.Core) to use the client.

I am attempting to use the async create with default credentials, which I understand to be from the json file whose path I added to the env as suggested in the tutorial.

I checked, adding an explicit reference to the credentials file before the line that attempts to create the client, and I can 'see' the credentials in the code at that address.

I also checked the env reference.

The client always generates a null exception that I've caught to check. Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing here? I've done a bit of reading in the docs and I'm apparently missing something. Happy to provide any information I can.

Thank you,

Carrie
