getting google pubsub status in json format

Hi,

I know https://status.cloud.google.com/ will fetch status from all google cloud services. Is there anyway I can pull status only for google pubsub in json format?

and also is configuring 'uptime check' in google stackdriver monitoring with below url's is valid?

https://console.cloud.google.com/cloudpubsub/topicList?project=project_id

Hi, Santosh: there is no dedicated uptime API for Pub/Sub, although I don't know if the status service supports filtering.

You can watch those topic pages, but I don't think hats what you want. Those will tel you if the UI is up, not if the service is accepting requests for your project.

Could you tell me more about what you are trying to accomplish? Perhaps we can find some other way to get you what you need.

My aim is to run some code in python and get status of google pubsub everyday at 6am without going to the webpage. Will json feed give that kind of information?

Santosh, Is this meant to be a generic tool or something tied to a specific project of yours?

If it's tied to a specific project(s), your best bets are to build this on top of Stackdriver monitoring API: pull the latest actual stats, including rate of errors, and deduce if everything is running well or not. 

The status.cloud.google.com for Pub/Sub aims to reflect major issues that affect multiple users, limited to the service itself.

As of now there is no separate tools for us. we just wanted status in json format so that we can send it to elastic search.

Santosh, there is a link to a JSON feed of the statuses at the bottom of https://status.cloud.google.com/. You'll have to do a little bit of filtering to grab Pub/Sub, but not much. Let me know if and how that works for you.
