Hey peoples. Introductions are probably in order.

Rodos here. Working on vCloud for a Telco/Service provider in
Australia. Based on vBlock technologies. VMware vExpert, cloud nut.

Very interested in workload portability and Metadata to describe app
workloads that service providers can interpret.

Thanks, Rodos.

And thanks to everyone else that has joined this group. Please
introduce yourself through this thread. Let us know who you are and
why your interested in payload/workload descriptors. If you have some
thoughts about the problems to be solved or solutions to contribute,
please feel free to start a thread of your own.

For my part, I am a market strategist for cloud computing at Cisco, a
fancy way of saying I'm a cloud subject matter expert, and responsible
for developing parts of Cisco's cloud vision. I am also author of The
Wisdom of Clouds on CNET, but you know that or you probably wouldn't
be here. ;)

Hi Everyone,

My name is Dustin Amrhein and I work for the IBM WebSphere group. I'm
a technical
evangelist and software engineer for emerging technologies within the
WebSphere Foundation,
and right now my focus is on cloud computing technologies/PaaS.

Looking forward to participating in the group...
