Subject: I want to make a database and CloudHaskell seems like a great foundation

Who am I: I'm newer to Haskell development (2 months in), but I am quite found of the language - especially as my first foray functional programming.

My current project is to implement a distributed Key-Value database. A popular K-V database is Riak, implemented in Erlang is my benchmark. I want to use Haskell, with the communication power of CloudHaskell behind me to develop of a smaller scale.

I want a good place to get something up and working in the TCP implementation of CloudHaskell's network interface, so I can wrestle from there. Some others on here have posted saying that CloudHaskell would be good for making one's own database, so I'm hopeful for responses.

Thanks in advance.
