I'm pleased to announce a fresh release of Cloud Haskell. This release introduces a number of bug fixes and dependency bounds changes to the core libraries and also sees distributed-process-platform split off into smaller individual packages. See http://hackage.haskell.org/package/cloud-haskell-0.2.0.0 for more details on the new packages for async, task, execution and various other bits.

I do anticipate some stability issues as we tweak the dependencies for these new repos and should point out that over the holiday period I plan to integrate a breaking change to ProcessRegistrationException which will necessitate bumping all repos to a new major version.

Feedback is welcome, as always.

Cheers,
Tim

Oh and I almost forgot - I would like to thank Alexander Vershilov for his help splitting up distributed-process-platform. Saved me a lot of time so thanks very much!

Tim.

Good point - I'll update the cabal files shortly. I'm in the process of rolling another minor release with a few dependency fixes and whatnot.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim, its great to see the new release. I think we should consider creating a "Cloud Haskell" category for all these packages on Hackage - really that would just entail adding that to the cabal files in the next release I think. Other package families with community contributions such as Yesod and Snap do this as well to improve discovery.

Regards,

Jeremy
