Hi there,

I hope that I'm not off topic as I'm not sure how much data proc and data fusion are the same. I'm looking for some help to connect Data Fusion to Cloud SQL using Proxy SQL (which I think is required). I've posted my issue on stack overflow and slack but since it remained unanswered I wanted to share it here too.

I'm trying to connect Data Fusion with Cloud SQL MySQL on private IP. I've read many ressources and here is what I have done so far:
  • a Data Fusion private instance with a private IP.
  • a Cloud SQL for MySQL instance with private IP.
  • a Cloud SQL Proxy deployed on a virtual machine.
  • everything is connected to the same default VPC network.
  • firewall fully open (Ingress, Egress on IP ranges: 0.0.0.0/0 and all protocol ports)
Despite all this I still have the following error Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.

Any idea?
