Hi Manjunath,

Custodian is rather open ended with regards to operation as it doesn't dictate any particular deployment.

Using an ec2 instance in a dedicated account is viable, and then a set of cron jobs for executing on a schedule. Some folks use custodian purely in lambda mode, run by Jenkins, pulling policies from git, others use ecs, Kubernetes, etc. We also might run it as laptop utility tool cli tool from support teams for adhoc query and reporting.

Fwiw, most of the community is chats on our gitter channel which is quite active. http://gitter.im/capitalone/cloud-custodian

Cheers,
Kapil

It doesn't at the moment. I chatted with some CNCF board members informally at kubecon last year, I think the feeling was that foremost it needs to be cloud agnostic before it could even be considered. We're closing in on that with azure and gcp support (still a few months away I suspect till prod ready on both). I do think it would be a good fit for the project and its goals, and I'm starting to have some discussions to explore the feasibility.

Cheers,
Kapil
