Monitoring with Datadog (forwarding statsd)

Hello

I was looking today for ways to monitor Airflow with Datadog. One strategy is to configure [metrics] to forward events to a dogstatsd instance. This worked in my local airflow installation.

But in composer the statsd server 'is already taken'. Composer has a statsd running in deployment airflow-monitoring. Do you know any hack in order to get metrics exported to Datadog without breaking the Composer setup?

Can Datadog get the metrics out of the monitoring API? That's where they currently go.
