Upgrade Python Version

Hey there!
Currently I am on the need to use a function that only exists on python 3.7

I know that the composer environment is working with 3.6.6

Is there a way to upgrade python?

At this point, Composer doesn't support upgrading the Python version.

Hi,

Short answer is no, you can't perform the upgrade, at this point only Python v3.6.6 is supported - https://cloud.google.com/composer/docs/concepts/python-version

EOL for 3.6 is 2021-12-23 according to Status of Python branches

Any plans on having Composer running on Python 3.9 and what will be timeline?

In addition, it's good to see upgrade to Python 3.8:
