Hi Green Cloud Team,

There is one issue I'm not able to tackle and kindly ask for your support.

After deploying the tool to GCP, I got a 500 Internal Server Error.
/api/footprint?start=2021-10-13&end=2021-12-13&ignoreCache=false 500

The api logs state the following:
"Unable to process footprint request.Error: 7 PERMISSION_DENIED: Permission monitoring.timeSeries.list denied (or the resource may not exist). at Object.callErrorFromStatus (/workspace/node_modules/@grpc/grpc-js/build/src/call.js:31:26) at Object.onReceiveStatus (/workspace/node_modules/@grpc/grpc-js/build/src/client.js:180:52) at Object.onReceiveStatus (/workspace/node_modules/@grpc/grpc-js/build/src/client-interceptors.js:336:141) at Object.onReceiveStatus (/workspace/node_modules/@grpc/grpc-js/build/src/client-interceptors.js:299:181) at /workspace/node_modules/@grpc/grpc-js/build/src/call-stream.js:160:78 at processTicksAndRejections (internal/process/task_queues.js:79:11)"

My first idea was to check the service account and make sure that the role "roles/monitoring.viewer" is assigned and the correct service account is handed over to the app. I'm very confident that the setup is correct but I still get this error. Any idea?

Thanks and best regards,
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

Thanks for trying out Cloud Carbon Footprint and reaching out about your issue! I'm thinking it might be faster if we're able to get on a quick call to discuss your issue, so I can understand it in a bit more detail.

If that is okay with you, let us know which timezone you are in, and I can give you some available days/time. If not, I'll get back to you with some more follow up questions!

Best,
Dan

Hi Dan,

After setting up the project configuration from scratch it is requesting the monitoring data from GCP.
Nevertheless, there is a very similar issue as mentioned by Thomas in the other thread.

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'getAttribute')

    at t.unstable_runWithPriority (scheduler.production.min.js:18)
    at Ya (react-dom.production.min.js:122)

It would be really nice If you could provide guidance on how to solve this issue.

Thanks and best regards,
Tobi
