Request for Clarification on Energy and Emission Calculation for Cloud VMs

Hi Team,

We use the CCF API to report on energy consumption and emissions for our customers' cloud usage. Some of our customers have asked for more details on how the energy and emissions are calculated for their cloud VMs. From the shared methodology, we understand that average vCPU utilization is used to estimate power consumption. Is there any reference documentation or benchmark tests/results available that explains how power consumption is calculated for VMs running on physical machines?
