Small Can, Big Fire. The Ignik FireCans are safe, easy, and packable for campfire anywhere you go. With a tried-and-true compact design, the FireCan is rugged and easy to store and transport, bringing the fun of campfire to places a traditional campfire can't go. Featuring folding legs, a toolless, quick-release hose, and a removable lid everything you need is included in one easy-to-carry package. Sets up in seconds and provides an adjustable flame that is visible through the mesh sides and radiates heat to where you need it. Great for camping, the beach, overland adventures, tailgating, and any outdoor hang-out.

The FireCan has a heat output of about 38,000 BTU/hr. on its high setting. In general, 1 gallon of propane can output about 91,500 BTU. Our 5 lb. Gas Growlers hold roughly 1.2 gallons of propane, so a full Gas Growler will run the FireCan on max setting for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. High altitude and low temperatures can affect propane burn efficiency, so these numbers may vary depending on conditions.

Unfortunately, we do not sell the grill inserts separately, and have found that it would likely not work well in our standard FireCan. The original FireCan's flame is not exactly suitable for cooking, and is calibrated for heat, while the FireCan Deluxe has two separate burners, one for heat and one for cooking.

Yes! However, please make sure you only use lava rocks or glass that are specifically intended for fire pits and high heat applications. You can find these in most hardware stores in the patio/garden section. River rocks, stones, and lava rocks used for landscaping are not designed for high heat and can crack or explode if heated in a fire.

I had been hauling around a large circular propane fire pits with a regular size propane tank, and while I enjoyed that one it took up way too much bed space in my Tacoma. That combined with a small Weber BBQ (not a shot at Weber, I enjoy that grill as well) took up half the space of my short bed. Friend of mine got the Original Fire Can last summer and really enjoyed it. So I had been looking on the secondary market for awhile but one never popped up. When the DELUXE came out a few months ago I knew I was going to get it. I was extremally surprised on how well built it was. Its heavy, but in a good way. I was worried the metal would be thinner and its not. Cooked up a few steaks for dinner one night and swapped the hose around to eat them by the fire. Being able to keep with the lid on for the grill mode keeps that heat in and helps fully cook the food. Its just big enough to cook for my wife and I. Everything cleaned up really easy with some warm soapy water. Time will tell but I am confident in the durability of the unit. Extremely excited to use it for the rest of the summer.

the typical round propane fire pit. Lugging around a 22 inch firepit was just too much work and weight, so I investigated "ammo can" firepits and came across Ignik Firepit. I knew that I wanted more than the basic unit as I wanted to be able to cook on it too so I opted for the Deluxe model. As luck would have it they were on-sale for Father's Day so I took the plunge. I had a chance to use it 2 days ago and it worked perfectly. I cooked chicken thighs, and later we made s'mores on just the fire-box. I added the moon rocks which made for a nice toasty setting.

I have been dragging around a traditional round propane fire pit and although it's nice to have this Ignik deluxe firecan is perfect! Massive amounts of heat from this little package. I love how it packs up for travel. I do recommend getting some kind of lava rock to improve it's heating efficiency.

We liked our original Firecan, we Love our new Deluxe Model! Being able to cook outside our Van with the added grill insert is super. We also enjoy the bright glow from the Deluxe stainless build in firepit mode. Ignik seems to have the bases covered! Heat output in cooking mode is so adjustable and there is plenty of it. We are using 4x6x2 inch tinfoil pans to cook non-grillable foods like a scrambled egg stir. Keeping moisture and smells out of RV is perfect.
