Got the same problem. Already removed it and added it again (in Outlook for desktop as part of Office 365). Still it is not updating this calendar at all. Not very helpful as I use Outlook for my calendar.
@Allison Bishop You can switch to the Calendar View and then from the toolbar click on the calendar icon to generate iCal url so that you can sync that to Outlook, Apple, or other calendars (Use the last option in that publish options)
Thank you, but how to you sync it to show each individual date column as a separate calendar entry. Currently, it is showing me the information in the gantt type view? I tried creating a report for each date, but there is no option to sync a report to my outlook calendar. Should I create another sheet that will pull the needed date field from the current sheet?
My team and I were able to subscribe to the calendar, but the calendar stoped syncing. Things that are changed in the sheet are not updating in the outlook calendar. When we try to delete and re-add it, a nameless calendar shows up without populating in the "other calendar" folder.
My team is having the same issue as Jenna and Paula- we have subscribed to Smartsheet calendars, but they are not syncing properly, where only some of the events are populating in Outlook, but not more recently added ones.
There is a team in my office that has a shared calendar (the team calendar is set up as a user in Active Directory/Exchange, so treat the team as a user). The team also has 3 sub-calendars for the different team members. Other people in the office need to be able to access this team's calendar. They can go to Open Calendar in Outlook and see the main calendar, but they cannot see the sub-calendars.
Once you've added the new mailbox (Calendar share source) in your Account Settings, you can drag the additional calendars to new custom Calendar groups. In Outlook 2010, right-click in the Calendar navigation pane, select New Calendar Group, name it how you please, then drag the shared calendar into it. It should no longer show up in My Calendars.
Expectation was: an item was made with a date and this would be synchronized to Outlook Calendar. In outlook calendar this appears and can be planned further in the day or maybe plan it on a different day later if this suits the user. This then synchronizes back to Monday, so colleagues can see the progress of a project and can work accordingly.
In reality a copy of the calendar item of Outlook is synchronized to Monday. No change is made to the original item and new items pop-up in all the boards. Feels like there not any form of intelligence build in the sync.
Also new items in Outlook pop-up in all boards. Which ofc is exactly as asked in the integration, but of course is not what a user would want. He would like Monday managed project items to sync up not all calendar item created and definitely not appear in all boards in copies.
I want to be sure I am understanding the roadblock here before moving forward. To clarify, across all board you have set up the Outlook Cal integration to sync items to calendars and sync events (from the calendar) to the platform - correct? Is the issue that this process is creating loops in your system? For example, when an item is created it creates an event, but the creation of an event creates an item and vice versa?
Really looking for a 1:1 sync with Outlook Calender with Monday only items (using a pre-fix code a.g.). New items created in Outlook which do not originate from Monday do not have to appear in any boards for me. There is no reason a.g. for a lunch meeting to appear in any board.
Through the Majority Leader's office or Democratic Whip's office, you can subscribe to the House Calendar. Subscribing to the calendar will add the District Work Periods and DC Work Periods to either your Outlook or Google calendars.
You can open the Global Diversity Calendar in Outlook to display events from around the world celebrating diversity (this Global Diversity Calendar curated by Diya Khanna, a Diversity Equity Inclusion Consultant was listed as a resource in the Aleria weekly newsletter and mentioned in the Better Allies newsletter)
NOTE: when opening the calendar for the first time in Outlook, it will prompt "Do you want to open this calendar as a new calendar or import its items into your calendar?" - since the calendar contains several entries per day, you may want to open as a new calendar. That way the calendar can be turned on/off easily but you will still have access to the events.
I have my Outlook calendar synced to HubSpot so people can book time on my calendar. Recently I noticed that the time zones on my calendar are coming through in Central America, rather than CST, even though both my Outlook and HubSpot accounts are set to CST.
I noticed the issue because I got a confirmation email that said someone had booked time on my calendar at 12:00 PM CST, but it showed up on my calendar at 1:00 PM and was showing the Central America time zone. That is doubly confusing, because CST and Central America are the same time zone.
Our situation:
We created a Hubspot calendar for an event in Chicago, so we set it to the Central Standard Time (UTC -6) time zone, which is correct for Chicago.
We're based in the UK, so our Outlook calendars are set to (UTC -0). However, because we're in daylight savings time, the integration between Hubspot and Outlook decided there was a 7 hour time difference, and prospects received a calendar invite 1 hour later than they should have done. Hubspot does not take into account that Chicago is also in daylight savings time if you set it to Central Standard Time (UTC -6).
Our solution:
The correct time zone to choose in the Hubspot calendar is Central Time (UTC -5). If you choose Central Time, Hubspot will adjust based on Daylight savings correctly. Indeed, when the confirmation comes through, it says the time zone is Central Daylight Time (even though it does not say this on the Hubspot calendar - it just presents as Central Time).
Hello @carlyejowens, could you please provide us more details such as a screenshot of your timezone in your account, the timezone showed in your calendar and the time the meeting was incorrectly added. The more information, screenshots, and details you can provide, the better I can advise on the next steps.
Log onto your SharePoint website and locate the calendar you wish to add to Outlook. You need to have permission to view or edit the SharePoint calendar before you can add it to your Outlook. There may be more than one calendar in the list. If you need to add several calendars, you can add them one at a time. See the image below.
Once you have selected the calendar you wish to add to Outlook, click "Calendar" under the "Calendar Tools" section located in the ribbon menu. Then click on "Connect to Outlook". See the yellow highlighted areas in the image below.
We had a similar problem and found that if the ICS file had the X-WR-CALNAME field in it, even if is was blank, then Outlook would automatically create a new calendar. If it did NOT have this field in it, then Outlook imported it.
I have a user that is trying to add one of our shared calendars. When we go through the normal steps using the Outlook 365 desktop app, nothing happens. No error, no crash, but also no calendar. It's very strange. We also tried creating a new profile, and adding it for a new user on a different computer, and it does the exact same thing. Meaning it doesn't do anything at all. We have lots of other people who have added the calendar in the past without any issues.
That link mentions adding an Internet Calendar. I'm just adding a regular internal resource calendar from the address book. Adding from OWA does work, but we've never had to do this before with any other users and we have OWA disabled by default so that's not a good solution to our particular problem.
After you connect your account, you'll start receiving calendar notifications in Slack. To prevent duplicate notifications, adjust your Outlook Calendar notifications for email, desktop, and mobile devices.
Hi @Charles_Kirchofer and @Ryan_Morris1 - this has been the story of my life for the past 4 months. We used the Outlook calendar integration for over a year prior to this, and all of a sudden the sync started failing, repeatedly. We have had numerous emails with the Airtable support team, to no avail. Every time they put it back on Microsoft and say that the issue lies with their API. Our IT consultant has created special environments for us to create the table and eliminate any potential underlying issues, and still it will sync initially but after a day or so, or even just an hour it fails.
You can subscribe to the Calendar Feed using Outlook on your desktop. The calendar feed will contain events and assignments from all of your Canvas calendars. Once you have subscribed to the calendar feed, you can remove the calendar feed at any time in Outlook by opening the Tools menu, clicking Account Settings, and selecting the Internet Calendars tab.
To confirm you want to add the internet calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates, click the Yes button [1]. To configure the calendar options, click the Advanced button [2].
The academic calendars contain key dates important to all students. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with upcoming dates and deadlines. The calendars are available as PDF files and also in iCal format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF files. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may download it for free from Adobe.com. See instructions at bottom of page for adding the calendar to Outlook.
