SoI originally thought that my ISP was blocking my IPTV service, but when I take my ISPs router out of modem mode and connect to it I can use my IPTV service no problems. When I have it in modem mode and connected through the XR500 then it is completely blocked. IPTV uses port 2086, I've tried forwarding it but this doesn't seem to work. Any ideas how I might get this working through the xr500?
Yes you can set differing external & internal port ranges. As with above if that doesn't work disabling QoS may work and if it does I would re-enable it and disable DumaOS Classified Games and see if it still works.
I think I already have QoS off. When netflix is streaming, my wifi on mobile is awful. I basically turned everything off, although I think actually what made it better was one of the settings in wifi setup to do with smart handling of wifi data or something. Now netflix streams with no issue and wifi on mobile is quick. Still can't connect to IPTV though. It does work for some IPTV channels on a nother service, they seem to be mainly US channels.
Don't know if this sheds any light on the situation, but if I start streaming on mobile data, then turn wifi on, it continues to stream through wifi. Maybe it is an authentication issue that doesn't occur on wifi?
I could not watch IPTV (Vodafone Spain) with XR500 and XR700, all attempts for iptv and ip voice with the valid configuration were a failure. The only thing that works by setting the operator's VLAN / Bridge was the internet connection.
I think it's a firmware problem, the configuration for operators IPTV in manual mode is basic.
I have an Asus RT-AX88U configured and working IPTV, internet data and IP voice for vodafone TV Spain and in less than 10 minutes everything was working perfectly ....... with XR500 and XR700 I was losing more than 10 hours and only I run data from the internet in the ports and in the deco but nothing from IPTV channels and IP voice.
I would like to put the Netgear as the main one but I can't do without TV and phone calls ... for the moment my main router is Asus.
Well you could give it maximum bandwidth on the flower. By the sounds of it I don't think it will help though. It sounds like there's some incompatibility between your TV and QoS. Maybe if there was a way to make a device bypass QoS.

Vader streams is shut down look on YouTube (I had to google what Vader streams even was) also its pirated material so this isn't something to be talked about on this forum. I will also say I have never used or would condone the use of such services.
The router supports as many devices as you need. We can't help you with installing specific apps on your devices though as we didn't make those devices. Also as @Killhippie says, that specific app is legally pretty dodgy so we don't want anything to do with it.
Just bought a Peplink B One and am a novice but know a little. I was able to set up both WANS and do port forwarding for CCTV Dvr. I replaced a TP-Link Archer 6 with the Peplink. I have all working except IPTV. Searched the forum but found no answer. I checked content blocking and its set at custom with nothing checked. Any idea how I can get any IPTV on the network to not freeze after 5 seconds. I know its something with the Peplink . When I remove the Peplink and reinstall the tp-Link the iptv has no glitches.
Thanks
Years ago I had the exact same issue you are describing. I had a location with Uverse IPTV and it was working with the existing router. I changed the router and now the IPTV set-top-box would only show the first few seconds of each channel when changing and then it would freeze the image. Change the channel and I would get a few seconds on the new channel only.
I fired up wireshark on the LAN and did packet captures on both the working router and then the one that failed to pass media. Comparing both streams it was now clear what was happening. The first few seconds of the media stream were unicast and had no problem getting through on either router. After those initial few seconds, the stream transitioned to multicast. The router that did not work had issues with passing multicast from the WAN to the LAN to the Set-top-box.
I remember seeing IGMP packets on the LAN sent by the set-top-box asking to join the multicast group and the router sending back positive responses in one case and completely silent in the case of the other router. That told me multicast routing was definitely not working on the second router and that was the source of the problem.
Everything else (you tube, netflix...) is working just fine either thru wireless or wired but just IPTV is only working if I set up wireless. Of course, the wireless speed is not so great so I would prefer to use my wired connection since it is faster and would freeze less.
I use Smart STB app and when I open an IPTV channel (when using wifi), there is a small latency (mabye 5/20 sec) with a black screen and then the channel appears. If I switch to a wired connection, it is the same except that there is only the black screen and the channel just never appears. Rarely, there are 1 or 2 channels launching (wired connect) but it is 2 out of 100 if I am lucky.
I have the same Problem. In my Samsung UE65MU9000 TV everything including Netflix, YouTube, Spotify etc works fine with cable Connection except IPTV. However IPTV works only with Wi-Fi connection. I am using duplex iptv app in the offical Samsung store. My friend uses the same internet company, same app and a newer model of Samsung tv. There is no problem in his cable connection. This is so annoying. I ve called Samsung support in my country and they said that this is not an issue related with the TV. I ve tried all the possible solutions according to my knowladge. However couldn't solve the problem. I need your help.
You can think of IPTV as cable television on steroids, through the Internet, but for a fraction of the price. There are literally thousands of IPTV services available for purchase through the Internet.
Most services provide thousands of live TV channels for all types of streaming content. Some provide professional sports season passes for football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and Pay-per-view (PPV) sporting events.
TROYPOINT does not and will never accept any type of advertising/affiliate revenue from Unverified IPTV Services. TROYPOINT does not own or operate any IPTV service nor does it act as a reseller for any companies either.
We do not link to unverified services due to legal scrutiny surrounding them and a simple Google search should help you find appropriate registration pages. We have tested all of these options with our top-ranked VPN Service and all function properly with this connection.
Below you will find the most popular unverified IPTV services. Our TROYPOINT IPTV Top 5 Rankings are determined by our in-depth reviews and user feedback found on discord channels, review sites, and forums.
For $3 you can get a 3-day trial that includes all streaming provided with the service. There is also a lifetime subscription option available for those looking to purchase long-term. as well as annual plans that will save you money.
If you are looking for a massive library of content, 4K Live is a fabulous choice with over 15,000 live channels as well as over 100,000 VOD titles which includes both Movies and TV Shows in high definition.
Users can choose between numerous package options for 1 or 3 connections along with VOD content. Best of all, those who pay with cryptocurrency (as we suggest) will receive a membership discount up to 15% off.
DigitaLizard is a popular live streaming service that is affordable, fast working, and provides tons of quality content. It boasts stability and reliability with plans available from 1 month to 1 year.
We assume that these are 100% legal due to the fact that they have been approved to be in these popular app stores. Both Amazon and Google would probably be liable for copyright infringement if they allowed illegal IPTV services.
As of now, subscribers of the verified services are paying almost as much as they would have through the traditional cable/satellite packages. The big names in the business have basically moved their service over to the Internet and charge the same!
Because of the uncertainty of these providers, TROYPOINT suggests paying for IPTV services on a month-to-month time frame. That way, if your provider goes offline or you find a better service, you are not locked in.
Another thing to consider when choosing a service is the number of connections it offers. Sometimes, users can view IPTV on up to five devices simultaneously, while others allow only one.
