We use the Fujitsu fi-6130z here for scanning at our reception and medical records departments. They are USB based so we use a product called RemoteScan to allow scanning in to our EMR/EHR software on a remote desktop. Some of the Fujitsu products are network capable devices. We have a few visioneer standalone scanners, and theyre beasts in my opinion. Never had an issue with the three in the building, one of which is on my desk. The model we have is the 9520, but its discontinued.

+1 for Canon DR series document scanners (imageFORMULA models). They are serious batch scanning devices that can handle very high volume. The DR-G1100 can handle around 100 pages per minute, double-sided, with a 500 sheet automatic document feeder, and max volume around 25,000 pages per day.

We have an older generation model purchased in 2007 that we just recently moved to our back-up site because of concerns its end-of-life may be on the horizon. We purchased the G1100 referenced above to take over. Our scanning production is under 1,000 pages per day and we did annual maintenance on the rollers, etc, for about $100.

For reasons unknown, our Adobe DC combined with Fujitsu fi-6670 scanner has started to "offset" the page, shifting it to the left about 1/2". That is, the left edge is truncated by that amount, and then the right edge will have an additional gray vertical bar. I have the latest PaperStream IP TWAIN driver installed and latest DC updates installed. If I scan using the fi-6670's own software, it looks fine, but when I scan inside DC, it's offset every time. I cannot find a setting to change this within DC.

Found the fix. I called Fujitsu and they remoted into my system. When doing the Adobe Scan, there's an option to use the scanners settings under the Scanner Name. We checked the box and clicked scan and it opened up the scanner options. The scanner paper size was set to Double Letter as the default. I guess this is the default for the Fujitsu Fi-6770 scanner as we're having the issue on another one of this models scanners. We changed the default to Letter and everything scanned in fine after that. We had set the default in Adobe Acrobat Pro to automatic, but it seems the scanner was overriding it somehow.
