Dear Debashis,
Thank you for your email. In our last email to the Kansas City Bengali
Association (KCBA), the Bengali Community of Lawrence (BCL) agreed to your
request of participating in a meeting with KCBA, Pratichi, and Sangam.
However, considering the workload that we have to deal with before Durga
Puja, we will not be able to take part in that meeting before the Puja.
In order to find a meaningful solution, I think that the current
organizers of the Midwest Sarbojonin Durga Puja need to discuss the issue
thoroughly and then meet with KCBA. We also need to propose a few dates
for the meeting and select a date that would be convenient for all four
organizations The BCL promises to work with you and others to find a
practical long-term solution for celebrating our Durga Puja, and we
request you again to postpone the meeting until we “recover” from the
Durga Puja 2010 activities.
We look forward to seeing you with your family and friends during the
Durga Puja celebration in Lawrence.
