Like others before me I have given this a poor rating solely based on the fact that, as a writer, a use a keyboard with my Ipad and this application will not allow me. Great app but rendered usless for what I want to use it for. When we are able to use a keyboard I will start using the product and definitely change my rating.
it is possible to get blue tooth key boards to work with it office writer. If you look at the bottom of the screen there is an menu arrow that you have to swipe up. It shows a keyboard icon that you have to select . Once you select it you can use your bluetooth keyboard.
Formatting is great - by that I mean that what's on screen is exactly as on the computer screen. That's good. Problem: it's not easy to navigate the text, to go up and down for example, or to input text. I could use it to write a quick letter or short doc, not a whole long document. Please find a way to enable copy and paste from other apps, for example text only apps, which are easier to write in. Then one could write text files, copy and paste into Open office writer and be done with it.
Forrester has written or produced for hits such as "The Office," "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill." This entertaining talk gives fans of his work, as well as aspiring writers, insight into the craft and complications of writing comedy for Hollywood.
"If you are a credit roll junkie like I am, Brent Forrester is a familiar name. His name pops up as producer or writer for so many of my favorite shows," says UTC Theatre professor Steve Ray. "We are excited and honored that he is speaking to our students and our community."
Some characters on The Office actually started as writers for the show. NBC's The Office first premiered in 2005. Using the mockumentary format, The Office followed the lives of a large cast of characters in their professional and personal lives at the fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin.
"Greg [Daniels] deliberately wanted to change the structure of how a traditional sitcom operated. In addition to everything we've already mentioned, he also had the idea to give some of the writers acting roles on the show. On most sets, the writers and actors are kept separate. In some cases, they barely interact or even know each other."
BJ Novak played Ryan Howard for a total of 154 episodes and is credited with writing 15 episodes of the show between 2005 and 2010 (via IMDB). Ryan Howard's journey on The Office was a tumultuous one, going from being the office's temp to becoming management at corporate headquarters, to defrauding shareholders, and finally aimlessly wandering the Scranton office. Since his time on The Office, BJ Novak has acted in numerous projects, including a role in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a recurring role on The Mindy Project, as well as playing himself on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. After The Office, BJ Novak's career also saw him create and write the anthology show The Premise, and he is working as the main writer on a sitcom called Young People.
The Office was never starved for talent. It certainly launched the careers of many favorite actors and writers in the entertainment business today. Behind-the-scenes knowledge, such as that provided by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey in their book, can be invaluable to appreciating a beloved show from a whole new perspective.
Actor, writer, and filmmaker B.J. Novak has kept himself busy in the years since The Office ended with his work including the recent release of his new film Vengeance. Written and directed by Novak, the film stars Novak as a journalist investigating the death of someone he knew. Along with creating the FX on Hulu series The Premise, Novak also had roles in the films Saving Mr. Banks, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and The Founder.
As someone who served as a writer and star of The Office, Novak was asked about the possibility of a reboot series, per Deadline. Novak suggested that this is a decision that is up to Greg Daniels, who developed the American version of the series. A continuation of the original show is something Novak dismisses, however, suggesting that it's too late to try and get the original cast all back together again. Any potential reboot would have to put a "fresh" take on the series.
B.J. Novak explains that one of the biggest obstacles for a new version of The Office to be a success is the amount of pressure that would be placed on those involved to live up to the popularity of its predecessor. Because The Office remains very popular with fans, thanks in part to its availability on streaming services in the years since it aired its final episode, there would be high expectations for a new version of the show. Novak says that this is the exact opposite of what he had experienced as a writer on The Office at the start.
Apparently, a club of great writers exists whose members started out with writing spots in damp basements and bedrooms. An office is clearly not essential to success. Among these writers, a common theme emerged:
