I regularly need to drag and drop images or documents from my email or file explorer to the Asana Browser. I cannot do this. I must save the image or document to my desktop, then drag and dop into the Asana Browser.

I regularly attach files, images, and documents from File Explorer into Asana tasks. I verified this works well in both the Asana desktop app, and from Asana in the browser. This also works well when dragging and dropping an attached file from the Outlook desktop app to Asana.

The built-in "Paste cells to Excel worksheet" action only pastes to one cell. I would like to paste the same formula to a range of cells at once, which is what I do by dragging if I don't use Power Automate.

This happened me too, and when I changed between Photo and Publisher mode, I realized that I had a small marquee selection, which made it impossible to use the copy (ctrl while dragging) outside the marquee. Maye same for you? If you simply resave the project, that marquee disappears (I think) and thereby enables the normal ctrl+drag functionality.

Yes off course, but if you're not aware of that marquee being there, and that selected area is small and not noticed, you might not realize that it is the reason why ctrl-drag does not work all of a sudden. It was just a tip.

I hope this is the correct place to post this. I commonly drag things from a local drive into Dropbox in Finder, using the sidebar, usually to upload for client access. It is a common enough action that the following problem is a significant workflow hampering.

@hughH thanks for the screenshot, this actually moved me along. There's definitely an issue with dragging and dropping to "Dropbox" in Favorites in the Sidebar. There is also a Locations section below Favorites in the Sidebar, which contains the same Dropbox folder (but with the Dropbox logo). I confirmed that dragging to Favorites in fact doesn't work, but dragging/dropping to the folder in Locations does work. I also confirmed that, while dragging/dropping to the toplevel Dropbox folder in Favorites does not work, if you have a sub-folder of Dropbox in Favorites, you can drag/drop to that.

The attached photo shows the Dropbox folder in Locations, and the move working. You can also see Dropbox in Favorites above--moving to that spot does not work. We'll look into that. Meanwhile, I hope that you can work around this issue by dragging/dropping to Locations rather than Favorites on the Sidebar.

When someone says drag and drop in Chrome Remote Desktop, they sometimes mean the gestures they use when remotely accessing a computer from iPhone/iPad using Chrome Remote Desktop. Users can tap and hold an icon drag it with a finger and then drop it in another place.

But in more cases, when someone says drag and drop in Chrome Remote Desktop, they normally mean drag and dropfiles in Chrome Remote Desktop sessions. Can Google Remote Desktop drag and drop files? Unfortunately, the answer is NO. But Chrome Remote Desktop provides you with another way to achieve file transfer between computers.

Can Google Remote Desktop drag and drop files? Technically, the answer is no. But you can achieve file transfer with Chrome Remote Desktop by uploading and downloading files. Besides, you can also use the best Chrome Remote Desktop file transfer alternative AnyViewer, which provides you with an easier way to achieve file transfer.

eg:
In Thunar, when dragging a folder or file ... when I put the mouse pointer on the file, press left-button and as I try to move/drag it, Thunar shuts down instantly but mouse and tint2 works. ie: I can restart Palemoon.

This is a total disaster and major design flaw. What a nightmare. No more drag and drop of images into new listings. This is not only going to take a lot of extra time to list an item, but opens the door for a ton of mistakes in listings by dropping images by name, not as a picture. I guess it's back to eBay.

Are you doing the new form on desktop, or using the new app? Because on the new (blue) Seller app, you have to tap "reorder" at the top, and do a double-tap and hold to drag into place. If you're on desktop - sorry, I haven't seen the new form yet.

I was having this problem as well. I went ahead and entered all the photos without dragging and dropping them. It did take a bit more time. But, the next day I was able to drag and drop photos as normal on a new listing. I'm not sure what happened? the function is working now for me and I haven't changed or updated anything.

Thanks for the replies. I'm using am iMac desktop computer, although I'm sure it works this way on all formats. I'm not sure a lot of sellers who replied understood what I was explaining. With the new seller page, you can no longer add images by simply dragging and dropping them into a copied listing. ***It was very quick and easy.*** Most importantly, it prevented making mistakes of adding the wrong image because it was all picture-based. Now, you must search out the pictures files by ***name*** to add them. No more drag and drop. This is especially true when you list multiple items that look very similar. It also requires a lot more time to complete. I have zero idea why on earth this was done, other than someone decided to change things because they were bored.

I lost the add and drop feature a long time ago - a few years I think. I think it happened due to changes on my computer - updates in windows or something. I can still drag and drop in other programs, but not Etsy. Next time I add a new listing I will check and see if drag and drop has come back. It is easier.

Me too. I use drag and drop exclusively and without this feature it takes forever to list. The new format also does not have flat rate shipping options. So, I have to switch to old version every time they open up a new listing format.

I 100% agree. I list from my desktop and use the drag and drop feature for all of my listings. I tried the new form for one listing and then reverted back to the old way, MUCH EASIER all the way around. I find the new way far more cumbersome than the original. When you convert back to the old way, there is a place to put your feedback. I sent feedback with several items that were more difficult the new way. If everyone could please do that, perhaps Etsy could change the things that we find difficult. I'm not sure how long we will be able to revert to the old way. THANKS all!!!! Keep on listing!!!

I'm on a Macbook OS Ventura 13.4 and primarily use Firefox 114.0.1. Could not drag and drop photos into listings with Firefox. So I switched browsers to Safari 16.5, and it works fine now. Hopefully etsy Tech support reads these postings and can identify an existing issue.

From there I can click and drag a photo or multiple photos in, including the first image.
This action opens the display area with all the boxes. From there I can click & drag more photos in or load them from my device.
I can also delete or click & drag photos to a different position.
It's only if I select the cropping tool icon or the Adjust thumbnail button that the image is opened in edit mode.

Running 42.2 with KDE desktop and find I can no longer drag windows. For example if I open a terminal I cannot move it. Any suggestions as to what is going on and how to restore normal service please?

Hello, I'm having a problem of not being able to drag and drop icons and programs into fences.
When I try to drag one my mouse changes to the circle with a line. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help?

We've got a weird issue with drag and drop to a Citrix from the local endpoint to a Published App. This works only once. If i want to do a second drag/drop it doesn't work anymore. If i do a simple copy/paste (ctrl-c/ctrl-v) into the published app the drag/drop starts working again for only one time. After this second drag/drop i have to do a copy/paste again to get drag/drop working again.

Also when we connect to the full blown desktop and open the application in it, we have the same issue. But, drag and drop data to de desktop of the published desktop works always.. I hope someone understands my issue ?.

you could go to /usr/share/applications/ or /.local/share/applications with nautilus and copy/link those to the desktop. Also make sure to open gnome-tweak-tool and under the "Desktop" section enable it to behave as a folder to be able to see your /Desktop/ icons

We just deployed sharepoint 2013 in our company. We are having an issue however when it comes to dragging and dropping files from the sharepoint document library to users desktops. Doing so results in a link (.url) being saved to the desktop instead of say a pdf file. Has anyone else run into this?

Can you hold the Ctrl key down while dragging and get a copy? (I think it's Ctrl) That would be like Windows Explorer. If you drag an executable to your Desktop it creates a shortcut, hold the Ctrl key it copies the fiile.

What might be interesting would be to go to some website with some download links, to utilities, pdfs, something. Then drag one of them to the desktop and see if it automagically downloads the file from there also.

I didn't think you could drag from the document library page to your desktop unless you are Explorer view. But I just tried it on my system and it works with IE. Maybe that test computer has office 2013 installed (like mine) and the others do not.

I am working on a project for a client, they gave us some data from their oracleDB, and when I connect to it in arc map I can just drag and drop the tables from the catalog window into arcmap and they are drawn.
