The release announcement was originally scheduled for September 3, 2008, and a comic by Scott McCloud was to be sent to journalists and bloggers explaining the features within the new browser.[29] Copies intended for Europe were shipped early and German blogger Philipp Lenssen of Google Blogoscoped made a scanned copy of the 38-page comic available on his website after receiving it on September 1, 2008.[30][31] Google subsequently made the comic available on Google Books,[32] and mentioned it on their official blog along with an explanation for the early release.[33] The product was named "Chrome" as an initial development project code name, because it is associated with fast cars and speed. Google kept the development project name as the final release name, as a "cheeky" or ironic moniker, as one of the main aims was to minimize the user interface chrome.[34][35]

If the CA owner has not yet publicly disclosed an incident, they must notify chrome-root-program [at] google [dot] com and include an initial timeline for public disclosure. Chrome uses the information in the public disclosure as the basis for evaluating incidents.

If you have another instance of Chrome running and don't want to restart it, you can run the new instance under a separate user profile with the --user-data-dir option. Example: --user-data-dir=/tmp/chrome-debug. This is the same as using the userDataDir option in a launch-type config.

If you see errors with a location like chrome-error://chromewebdata/ in the error stack, these errors are not from the extension or from your app - they are usually a sign that Chrome was not able to load your app.

Q: How can I submit my receipts with my mobile?
A: Use your mobile phone to take a photo of the receipt, then attach it to an email and send it to rec...@ca1.chromeriver.com from your phone or tablet.

This behavior would be ok except that chrome is filling the inputs incorrectly, for example filling the phone input with an email address. Customers have complained about this, so it's verified to be happening in multiple cases, and not as some some sort of result to something that I've done locally on my machine.

google chrome basically search for every first visible password element inside the , and tags to enable auto refill for them, so to disable this you need to add a dummy password element as the following:

Previously entered values cached by chrome is displayed as dropdown select list. This can be disabled by autocomplete=off , explicitly saved address in advanced settings of chrome gives autofill popup when an address field gets focus. This can be disabled by autocomplete="false".But it will allow chrome to display cached values in dropdown.

To ensure chrome parser ignores an input field for autofill address popup a hidden button or image control can be added between label and textbox. This will break chrome parsing sequence of label -input pair creation for autofill.Checkboxes are ignored while parsing for address fields

Methods: The mortality of a cohort of 1087 chrome platers (920 men, 167 women) from 54 plants situated in the West Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom, was investigated for the period 1972-97. All subjects were employed as chrome platers for >/=3 months and all were alive on 31 May 1972. Mortality data were also available for a cohort of 1163 comparison workers with no known occupational exposure to chrome compounds (989 men, 174 women). Information on duration of chrome work and smoking habits collected for a cross sectional survey carried out in 1969-72 were available for 916 (84.3%) of the chrome platers; smoking habits were available for 1004 (86.3%) comparison workers. Two analytical approaches were used, indirect standardisation and Poisson regression.

Results: Based on serial mortality rates for the general population of England and Wales, significantly increased mortality from lung cancer was observed (obs) in male chrome platers (obs 60, expected (exp) 32.5, standardised mortality ratio (SMR) 185, p

Conclusions: Confident interpretation is not possible but occupational exposures to hexavalent chromium may well have been involved in the increased mortality from lung cancer found in this cohort of chrome platers.
