Would you guys be interested in joining http://www.meetup.com? It would make the group a bit easier to find (in particular, for those new to the area or visiting) and might make it more convenient for people to interact (makes it easier to look up participants names and such, for instance), although it is quite a bit more public.

Just a thought....

In case anyone else is curious, cost is $180 annually to run a group on Meetup.com (unless we have fewer than 50 members, then it's just $120 annually).

Wow! It didn't occur to me that it might not be free (or at least within some reasonably symbolic amount). I suppose a company might sponsor it, but I don't have any in mind.

I've gone back and forth about that for a long time. I didn't realize the price had gotten so high. We currently have 142 members on our mailing list, so we'd definitely be on the expensive plan. I think the big benefit would be free advertising to other meetup.com users who might be interested in a clojure.mn group.

Wow... 142 members \o/

This calls for a simple 2 question survey! If you are reading
this and you are *not* a robot please answer these two questions:

Thanks!

p.s. If we decide to go for meetup.com and collect a little extra money
we should donate it to Brian for providing beers to every
user group meeting (for about four years)!
