Anyone going to Clojure Conj in DC this year?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the group. I went to a meeting last month and it was great. I was wondering I anyone planned to go the the Clojure Conj. It is in DC so it seems perfect. The registration cost is $350 but there seems to be a group rate of $315.

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone go a Conj in the past?

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the group. I think that you'll find that many of the
ClojureDC group members will be in attendance at the Conj -- that's
been the case in the past regardless of the location. :)

I can't speak for myself as I have my ticket punched already, but
hopefully the group can put together a group to take advantage of the
reduced rate.

I would reach out to the other Clojure meetups in the area. too.
There's one that meets in Reston [1] and one in Baltimore [2].

Hi Paul,

Getting a group booking like this sounds like a great idea. Wish I'd thought of it. :)

You may find fewer people interested than you'd expect, because many of the people enthusiastic about attending purchased early-bird tickets the moment they came out (they were sold out in about an hour IIRC). But there are probably still a number of people who'd like to attend and missed out on the early rate.

Thanks for the input everyone. I would have bought earlier but I still have to navigate some work related stuff with regards to attending. Anyway, if anyone out there was late to the boat let me know by the end of the month. I'll probably try to register then.
