Hi all.

We launched the new beginner capstone app, and SF used it last weekend. I would love to hear a report of how that went if someone gets a chance.

Next task: the advanced capstone app. The current global-growth app that queries the World Bank API with a web app thrown on top is fine but just too much for a one-day curriculum.

The advanced capstone app is for ClojureBridge workshop students who already know how to program and need more of a challenge. The goals are the same as for the beginner capstone app: write an app that exercises some of the concepts learned earlier in the day, producing something that can be shared with friends.

Some ideas:
1) Take the current global-growth app and rework it to something that works better - simplify it and update the curriculum narrative
2) Create something entirely new - a game? Todo app? other ideas?
3) Use Quil, also, like the beginner capstone app, and do something more complicated.

We need to kick off work on the new, advanced version of the capstone app so that it is ready for one of the workshops that is currently organizing.

My vote is to do #3 - a more complicated Quil app than the beginner Quil app.

The current global-growth app will still be there if people want to use it.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Let's do a hangout on Nov. 17th at 8pm ET to do some pre-planning for the Conj ClojureBridge curriculum unsession. Email me or reply here if you would like me to add you to the invite.
