Hello fellow Clojurians,

yesterday I was watching Neal Ford's brilliant world domination video
and it got me again thinking about idea I've got for some time.

With the advent of online learning initiatives like Stanford, MITx,
and many others I think it would be great to create Clojure course.
Most of the resources are already out there. Videos are awesome,
4clojure is really nice, tools are improving every day and community
is really great.

I would really appreciate having Clojure course in my CV, and I
believe that others do as well.

If someone in the community is thinking about something like this, and
needs any help please let me know.

Cheers,

Peter

Something like this, from the author of Clojure in Action, Amit Rathore:

I'll add a +1 to this. It seems like a great way to keep a stream of competent, hireable (from a business perspective) Clojure programmers flowing. I think it lowers some concerns for businesses considering adoption. Beyond that, even if a student were to go and program in another language, I have a feeling that the quality of Clojure U alumni would be above average. Programming in general is better off if something like this takes off in our community.

+1.

To get an impression how this could look like check the upcoming Stanford, MIT and udacity classes:

www.class-central.org
www.udacity.com

and of course not to forget the legendary ai-class.com (Sebastian Thrun's follow-up robotics class is at udacity.com and starts on Monday!!)

Sean thanks for pointing me to Amit Rathore's course. I really like
his book and am looking forward to learn from him.

I am glad that you guys think Clojure Uni is good idea. I think that
best approach will be to start with Khan Academy. It is free and it
seems easy to create new exercises. It might catch on.

P2PU.org is a great format to teach a class. I took a Javascript class there. I wish someone would teach a class on clojure there.
