Is there a clojure equivalent of ghc-mod? If not, what are the challenges?

I'm getting to know Clojure and lisps in general and am having a great time. I've worked with Haskell before, and using ghc-mod with various tools was massively useful. Is there a similar tool for Clojure, and what are the challenges if not?

Are you looking for something like CIDER,

https://github.com/clojure-emacs/cider

or maybe fireplace?

https://github.com/tpope/vim-fireplace

Think both those projects' READMEs describe current gotchas/bugs/etc.

They use the same backend, btw - https://github.com/clojure-emacs/cider-nrepl
