Hi James,
Unless someone else chimes in with an answer, let me find out the process today.
I know Chris Redinger from my company (Relevance) can help with this, so I'll reach out to him to get an answer.

Cheers! Lynn Grogan

Hi all,

I run the Melbourne Clojure User group I would like to add it to this page.

It says to create a Confluence account (which I have done) and then request permission to update the page.
Who do I request permission from?

Cheers,
James Sofra

Hello James,

AFAICT, you need to sign Clojure Contributor Agreement, and then be
listed as a contributor, to be able to ask for editing permissions.

If you give information about what you want to add, since it's the
kind of content that won't change often (and has low update
frequency), I'd be more than happy to save you the burden to send
contributor agreement just for that, and do it myself.

Please also note that currently there are 2 competing lists in the
wild, and AFAICT neither one or the other has abandoned the race. So,
you may, in addition, consider sending a pull request after updating
this page: https://github.com/clojuredocs/cds/blob/master/articles/ecosystem/user_groups.md

Cheers,

Thanks so much Laurent!

Sorry I didn't reply earlier I was away at a conference and was not checking this group.

I'll do as you said and add a pull request to the other list as well.

Thanks again,
James Sofra

Laurent,

We're starting a Clojure group in Baltimore, MD... would you mind adding a "Mid-Atlantic" section to the "United States" section and putting our Meetup in there? It's http://www.meetup.com/Baltimore-Clojure/

Thanks!

Adding "Mid-Atlantic" to http://dev.clojure.org/display/community/Clojure+User+Groups confuses things a little, because the Mid-Atlantic region overlaps with the Northeast. New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh are listed under Northeast, but can also be properly described as Mid-Atlantic. How about renaming "Northeast" to "New England" and moving NYC, Philly & Pgh to Mid-Atlantic?

Why not just merge them all into East Coast or something?

Since there is significant set intersection between north-east and mid-atlantic, why not break them up into

(difference north-east mid-atlantic)
(intersection north-east mid-atlantic)
(difference mid-atlantic north-east)

Just kidding... "East Coast" makes sense to me, at least until we have a hundred clj user groups up and down the coast.
