Dear friends,

In the local Clojure group
http://www.meetup.com/Clojure-Israel/
we are about to begin a series of tutorial-style meetups about
Clojurescript for beginners.

Here is the first one:
http://www.meetup.com/Clojure-Israel/events/220777364/

Preparing for the meetup,
I would be happy to hear anything about your wishes or expectations
for such a series of taks.
- speaking language: Hebrew/English ?
- any special topics you wish to learn ?

As usual, thanks, Daniel Szmulewicz, for setting the meetup and offering advice.

See you,
Daniel Slutsky

I'll prefer Hebrew, but English is also OK and may be more suitable for people
who are not too versed in Hebrew, so I'm OK with it.

I'd like to hear how mature clojurescript is in comparison to Emscripten (see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emscripten ) and how to automate the conversion
and compilation from the command line, which is something I found lacking with
the Google Web Toolkit (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Web_Toolkit ).

Hi. Regarding our 'learning clojurescript' meetings:

1. Notes of the 1st meeting are a little more complete now. See
https://github.com/learning-clojurescript/tel-aviv-meetings

2. We are not sure yet, where our online discussions should take place.
Slack? Reddit? IRC?
We will decide on the next meeting.

3. Preparing for the next meeting, we will have our conversation at the meetup page.
http://www.meetup.com/Clojure-Israel/events/221324856/
If you wish to attend, please join the meetup.

See you on Thursday,
Daniel

This time we were only 2, so the meeting was cancelled :).

Before we decide if and how to continue with this series, some thinking is needed: what should be changed in the format / contents / way of presentation.

I would love to hear any criticism or other ideas.

Also, if anyone is interested - let us meet in person and discuss our common interests in clojure/script.

Best wishes, Daniel

I don't remember why I didn't attend the first meeting in the series, but I
believed the next meetings will require the knowledge in the first meeting, so
I didn't want to attend. Perhaps you should make meetings with short and
self-contained talks (and I personally cannot bring a laptop because my laptop
is too heavy).
